Singing since the age of five, the Mother of Pop sensation Whitney Houston, Cissy Houston’s vocal and arranging talents have enhanced the work of almost every important artist of our time.  With the formation of the female quartet,  The Sweet Inspirations, Cissy Houston has recorded with Aretha Franklin, Dionne Warwick, Van Morrison, Dusty Springfield, Elvis Presley, Chaka Khan, Luther Vandross, Paul Simon, Bette Midler, Nancy Wilson, David Bowie, Roberta Flack, The Neville Brothers and daughter Whitney Houston, to name a few.

Carolyn London is an entertainment executive and photographer.  She is the Mother of two and the driving force behind the highly successful supermodel, actress, producer and talk-show host Tyra Banks.   

Umi Smith

When Umi Smith took on the responsibility of managing her son Dante’s career when he was just nine years old, little did she know that she’d be launching an entire industry!  Now better known to the world as Mos Def, her son has become a highly successful actor and television personality as well as one of the biggest names in hip-hop.  Immortalized in the 1999 Mos Def track “Umi Says,” Umi notes “The difficulty in being a Mom and a Manager is being sure you’re making the right decisions for the right reasons.”   

Deloris Jordan

Deloris Jordan is Mother of basketball great Michael Jordan was the President and Co-Founder of the Michael Jordan Foundation from its inception in 1989 directing and contributing an estimated six million dollars to needy organizations.  The Michael Jordan Foundation closed its doors in 1997 to open the James Jordan Boys & Girls Club and Family Life Center located on the Near West Side of Chicago to aid underprivileged youth and their families.  Deloris is President and Founder of the James Jordan Foundation which was opened in memory of her late husband to further the education of inner-city youth.
