Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes

Wanda Lopes Colomon started working for her father in his furniture business at the age of sixteen and discovered that she had a talent for upholstery and the making of her own creations.  Her strongest talent has been that of a seamstress; she started sewing by hand when she was nine years old and loved it.  She met Ronald Sr. when she was fifteen, several years later they were married and during the next five years they had three children …  Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, Raina and Ronald Jr. A major accomplishment for Wanda, her daughter Lisa became a superstar, moved her to Georgia and helped her to start her own business.  In 1994, Wanda started Voila Creations, an interior decorator firm.  Voila means “surprise.”    Her daughter Lisa was tragically killed and Wanda became the administrator of her estate and businesses.  With her faith in God, she started the Lisa Lopes Foundation to carry on Lisa’s dreams; Wanda is CEO and secretary.  Wanda also spearheaded the construction of the Lisa Lopes Foundation Center in Honduras.  

Kathy Jamison

Kathy Jo Jamison is the mother of basketball great, Antawn Jamison. In 1990, Kathy and her family moved to Charlotte, NC where her son Antawn flourished in basketball.      Kathy’s undying support and encouraging nature enabled Antawn to become incredibly successful as a player but most importantly as a man.  He was able to end his college career as the NCAA Player of the Year along with various other accolades.   A long time veteran with the Washington Wizards, Antawn is known around the league as a charming and supportive leader.  Kathy Jamison loves the finest thing in life – her family.   She understands the value of family and continues to be a role model to others.   She loves to cook, take care of her grandchildren – Alexis, Kathryn and Antawn, Jr., and has developed a passion for arts and crafts.   She is also a member of Mt. Zion AME Church in Fort Mill, SC. Her charitable nature makes her a pillar in her community as well as in the lives of everyone she meets. 

Carolyn Williams

Carolyn Williams is a Library Media Specialist at Great Neck Middle School in Virginia Beach.  As an educator, she has over thirty years of experience with the Virginia Beach City Public School System. Experiences range from the classroom to administrative responsibilities.  A graduate of Old Dominion University and Regent University, Carolyn is working on her dissertation in the School of Education at Regent University. She plans to use her research in superintendent leadership and student achievement to promote greater student success.  A member of the New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ where Bishop Barnett Thoroughgood is Pastor, Carolyn Williams is mother of music producer Pharrell.
