The National Association of Black Female Executives in Music & Entertainment, Incorporated (NABFEME) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to increase the awareness and raise the profile of women of color in music and entertainment. The organization’s leadership is comprised of entertainment volunteers who make up the Executive Board of Directors. The Executive Board represents a cross section of music and entertainment professionals, as well as individuals that represent other professional fields and interests. The NABFEME board sets policy, develops priorities and plans of action for the organization.
NABFEME operates through an organized structure of entertainment consultants. The consultants are geographically located across the United States and are sought after per their professional expertise in a particular field. The consultants serve as the voice and face of NABFEME in the local community and/or region. NABFEME also utilizes standing committees which generally have 4 – 5 members. These committees are set up by the Executive Board to execute existing initiatives or new strategies. The consultants coordinate with these committees and the local membership to develop agendas, timelines and action plans. NABFEME maintains a Code of Honor that governs the entire membership and the organization’s business dealings with its members and the general public.
NABFEME does not endorse, partner, or participate in any events, drives or programs without prior written approval from the organization’s Chairman and CEO. Any event, drive, or program that does not support or impact an already existing NABFEME strategy, program or initiative will not be accepted.
