NABFEME Career Forum October 4th 10 AM - 4 PM 

The NABFEME Career Forum was created to provide students with an insider's point of view of the entertainment industry and its career options.  Unlike traditional career fairs, the forum focus is career development.  The Career Forum will be comprised of three (3) primary segments:  Career Counseling, Resume Critiques and Career focused Seminars.   special "Back-To-School" registration, $50 for students.  This reduces "student only" provides access to all Thursday, Oct 4th functions.

The Film Salon presents "MOVIES ON RED"

The NABFEME FILM SALON is proud to present, Movies on Red, Saturday afternoon at 2:00 pm in the North Carolina Hall at the Hilton Charlotte Center  Hotel.   The feature film is LETS TALK , produced and directed by Michelle Lynne Coons.  LETS TALK follows the eye-opening journey of a couple faced to confront the topic of HIV/AIDS testing in the midst of their growing relationship.  Special guests include Michelle Coons and AIDS Activist, Maria Davis.  

LILAC FILMS and April Mial will present two engaging film production seminars,  the technical and business aspects of the film industry will be discussed.

The Stiletto Awards: Salute To Women of Power

NABFEME is proud to present at this year's International Women's Leadership Summit, our symbol of "Woman Power" -- our own signature award, The Stiletto.   Presented to ten top players and women of power in music and entertainment, The Stiletto Awards: Salute to Women of Power will be presented Friday, October 5th at 8:00 PM, Piedmont Ballroom, Hilton Charlotte Center City Hotel, Charlotte, NC.  Awards range from Executive of the Year to Executive Power Mover to Entrepreneur of The Year.  We'll also pay tribute to the support of our Men of The Year --- National Urban League Chairman and CEO, Marc Morial and Business Manager of the Stars, Bert Padell.  If you haven't registered -- Now is a good time to click the link below!

The Shero Hall of Fame Ceremony

The salute to our "Wonder Women."  Women who have bucked a trend, women who have stood up for something they believed in, shown persistence in the face of career challenges, persevered against difficult odds, or otherwise served as an example of strength and self-respect; women who have opened doors no matter how difficult the task has been.  We salute the legendary careers of Ruby Dee and Nona Hendryx.  In a special candlelight ceremony, we invite you to share this momentous evening with us on October 6th, The Hilton Charlotte Center City Hotel, Piedmont Ballroom.  Join us for a special tribute to this year's local Shero, our 2007 Strong Woman, Larita Barer, Sr. Vice President Community Relations and Player Development, The Charlotte Bobcats. Special invited guests, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.

NABFEME Literary Lounge

Meet, mix and mingle with our authors in the NABFEME Literary Lounge during the 2007 International Women's Leadership Summit.  The Lounge will be open Friday and Saturday, October 5 & 6th 10:00 - 5:00 PM, Readings are 5:00 - 6:00 on Friday and 2:00 - 5:00 on Saturday.    

The Literary Lounge is designed to give authors, avid book readers and our summit attendees an intimate setting and refined atmosphere for readings, discussions and book signings.  Meet Shakara Bridgers, co-author of the "Get "Em Girls Guide" a sassy girl's cookbook, and Kesha Nichols, author of "Someone is Listening in the Spirit - 30 Days of Inspiration."
