Ms RUBY DEE!   Born in Cleveland, OH, raised in Harlem, NY -- a career that has spanned over eight decades -- she is credited with helping to pave the way for all young  African American actors and filmmakers. Nominated for eight Emmy Awards, having won twice, she recently won a 2007 Grammy for "Best Spoken Word Album."

A member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., NABFEME is proud to welcome RUBY DEE to the 2007 Summit where she will be installed into the NABFEME Shero Hall of Fame. The ceremony will be held at the Hilton Charlotte Center City Hotel, Saturday evening, October 6th at 8:00 PM.
