Congrats to the 2003 She's Got Game Profile of Excellence Awards winners. This event showcased  the talents and bottom line excellence of Black women in music and  entertainment.  Tamekia Flowers of GLUE, Inc. took Rising Young Executive honors, WBLS' Egypt nabbed the Executive to Watch Award, while DC attorney Lita Rosario walked away with the top legal award.  Highlights of the evening were the Executive of the Year Award presented to newly named Vibe Magazine Publisher, Carol Watson (pictured above); the excitement continued with the Film & TV Executive of the Year Award going to Tracy Moore Marable and Career Milestone Award to WUSL/WDAS' Director of Urban Programming, Thea Mitchem.

Sheroes All In A Row...
NABFEME Prez, Johnnie Walker grabbed several of the honorees for a quick snapshot before the festivities got underway.  (L-R) Sharon Heyward, Walker, Teena Marie, Valerie Simpson, Ornetta Barber and Aja Graydon of Kindred. 

Fans lined up while sistas brought the heat to the stage at Club Beyond in Philly for NABFEME 's 2003 Women Who Jam!!  New York & Philly preliminary showcases provided opening opportunities for amateurs.  What a hot night!This all female showcase was the talk of the industry... featuring  stunning performances by Rhian Benson, Aaries, Jaguar Wright, WBLS contest winner, Sista, newcomer K Fox and the crowd favorite, Floetry.  Sponsored by Anheuser-Busch, the makers of Bacardi Silver

SHERO HALL OF FAME INDUCTION CEREMONY
The Shero Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony was a night fit for a Queen!  From the decor, to the rousing vocals of Teena Marie to a SRO stellar closing performance by Regina Carter ... the night was like being at the Grammys, only better.  In between the performances, Shero Valerie Simpson delivered an impromptu rendition of her NABFEME theme song, while telling the audience what it was like as her career survived the trials of the music and entertainment industry.  Tearful Sharon Heyward accepted Shero honors that were presented by her daughter, Elektra Entertainment executive, Monique Davis.  Tears continued to flow as #1 Diva Patti Labelle took the stage and shared stories of her career with the audience.  Keynote speaker for the evening was actress Rolonda Watts. .

Donna M. Moore Scholarship Fund Begins

A tribute to the memory of Donna M. Moore set the tone for the NABFEME Mentor Connection Power Luncheon with keynote speaker Judge Glenda Hatchett.  Judge Hatchett brought her "tell it like it is"  -- "Tough Love" philosophy to this year's Summit.  Lady Sax, Trin-I-Tee 5:7 along with David Bratton and the Spirit of Praise were musical guests.  Plus, attendees were treated to the smooth dancing moves of the Philandanco D2 Dance Troupe.  The Mentor Award was renamed the Donna M. Moore Mentor Award and honorees Vivian Scott Chew and Juanita Stephens helped to launch the Donna M.
