Michelle Madison - Chief Operating Officer

1989´s Rookie of the Year emerges
as 1999's Urban Executive of the Year! Tenacity, determination,
and a winning attitude are just a few of the adjectives that
describe the work ethic and personality of Elektra Entertainment's
VP of R&B Promotion, Michelle Madison.
A graduate of Clark Atlanta University,
Michelle Madison's entry into the music and entertainment
business came by way of campus radio station, WCLK where she
went from being a news reporter to a full time announcer.
While getting an education and graduating from college were
important, Michelle had been bitten by the entertainment bug.
Upon graduation from Clark she had a nice cushioned job waiting
at IBM. Instead of the business suits and sensible 9 to 5
working hours, Michelle chose to go to Austin, TX and help
sign on community radio KAZI. The stint at KAZI led to KNOW
where she was named Music Director. The next gig was in Dallas
at KDLZ where Michelle served as an air personality, Music
Director and Program Director. Michelle eventually segued
from radio into the world of recorded music. Her first position
was Regional Promotion Manager for Elektra Entertainment,
based in Dallas, TX. This position led to a stint with East
West records, that later turned into a National position with
Capital Records, which led Michelle to return to Elektra Entertainment...
this time as Vice President!
