From the Civil Rights era to the women’s movement to today’s corporate buzzword… diversity, women have always played an important role in the transformation of the global communities where we live and work. Even at the dawn of a new day, old challenges continue to persist which preclude women from breaking barriers and moving beyond current boundaries. The 2007 NABFEME International Women’s Leadership Summit will explore diversity in leadership and the entertainment industry while sharing knowledge that will empower women both personally and professionally.
DIVERSITY IN ENTERTAINMENT: The Female Factor is the theme for the 2007 NABFEME International Women’s Leadership Summit. A three-day learning and friendship experience, the NABFEME Summit is about diversity, women in entertainment and a "meeting of the minds" in the growing metropolis of Charlotte, NC. As our host city, Charlotte will be the catalyst for our concepts and strategies; strategies that are designed to position women to move powerfully ahead into successful career futures. Much has been written and said about the male dominated entertainment industry and the ratio of women in "power-play" positions. The 2007 NABFEME International Women’s Leadership Summit will addresses reasons why this ratio exists and what needs to happen to change it.
The NABFEME Women’s Summit will provide attendees with the opportunity to learn from and be inspired by a powerful mix of entertainment based speakers and panelists.
