Founder and Director of NaSiHa Consulting
Incorporated, Wendy D. Anderson exudes experience from the
realms of management, marketing, event production and organizational
planning. Her pioneering spirit and drive to succeed combined
with her love for music, film, and people in general will
allow her to soar to great heights. Born in Queens, New York
Wendy spent her early developmental years in Jamaica, West
Indies, she then moved back to the United States to Montclair,
New Jersey. Wendy is a graduate of Florida A&M University.
Some might say her entry into the entertainment industry was
accidental. While in college Wendy came across an interview
of Lauryn Hill talking about her non-profit organization,
The Refugee Project. In the interview Lauryn went on to explain
that through her travels she found that what distinguishes
one child from another is not ability, but access; access
to opportunity, love and education. Wendy was instantly inspired
and motivated to make an input. She immediately went to her
computer and found out all she could about the organization
and its programs. That inspiration gave her the idea to establish
similar programs within her community as well as create new
ones. Lead by the passion to create positive change, she somehow
got the direct number for the organization and spoke with
its director at the time, Raqiba Sealy. Shortly after speaking
with Raqiba and sending out a proposal, Wendy found herself
living out her dreams. Wendy not only cultivated a relationship
with members of the organization but also developed several
programs. Wendy is deeply loyal, committed and determined
to complete any task to the end. This is evident in her rapid
rise to Director of the organization. Wendy started out first
as a volunteer, then Program Director, Project Manager and
finally as a Consulting Director.
Inspired by the Hill family, particularly,
Lauryns mother Valerie Hill, Wendy started her own consulting
company. After being exposed to the music business aspect
of Lauryn Hills life, she pursued the industry and went
back to school getting a certification in Music Business and
Artist Management from the Omega Studios School of Recording
Arts and Sciences.
To list all her projects, dreams, plans
and accomplishments would be an arduous task for the reader.
Wendy has sculpted herself through habit and action and is
guided by a philosophy that she must justify her existence.
Blessed with the talents of motivation and leadership, Wendy
has steered the creation of several projects and programs
and has consulted and worked with such companies/organizations
as the Boys and Girls Club, Third Eye Multimedia, Courvoisier,
NAMIC/BET, and Lauryn Hill, just to name a few. Wendys
business acumen has been sharpened and refined through her
directorship of the Refugee Project and her consultantcy firm.
Her quiet determination and intense focus allow her to juggle
several projects and complete each one with finesse and polish.
Involved in the development and shaping of a many national
programs, projects and events, she has gained insight and
experience in coordinating functions, conceiving innovations,
creating publicity, communication tools and developing a network
of contacts all talents and attributes that can transfer
easily into the sphere of the entertainment industry. And
that combined with her faith in God allows her to commit her
talents to her community and develop a healthy portfolio of
diverse interest and service endeavors.
