Samira Hall
Marketing Coordinator, Atlantic Records' Urban Music Division
Samira Hall, a bright mind brimming with
fresh ideas, currently holds down the position of Marketing
Coordinator for Atlantic Records' Urban Music division.
Hall is a 1997 graduate of New York University
holding a BA in Communications. She began her career in the
music industry in 1996 as a publicity intern at Atlantic Records.
As an intern she assisted in planning and execution of press
days as well as preparing bi-weekly publicity reports for
such artists as Brandy, Aaliyah, Changing Faces, and Levert.
She has also coordinated travel for various
artists' performances and award shows. After just 1-½
years as an intern in publicity, Hall landed a job as a marketing
assistant in the same division. In just one year, she was
promoted to coordinator where she now develops marketing plans,
creates pre-release awareness campaigns, in addition to pitching
artists like Brandy, Lil Kim, Lil' Cease, and Fat Joe for
cross-marketing and promotional campaigns.
Hall is currently responsible for breaking
this year's most anticipated new artists including J-Shin;
Philly's Most Wanted and Trina.
