Cynthia Johnson-Harris

Cynthia Johnson began her music career in
1986 as a Local promotion Manager for MCA Records in Los Angeles.
After 2 years, she moved to Arista Records as Regional promotion
Manager, West Coast and won Billboard's Regional promotion
Manager of the Year Award. She then segued to Motown Records
as Midwest Regional Manager in Chicago. "CJ" as
she is affectionately called, served as Columbia Records R&B
Local Promotion Manager for the Midwest region beginning in
1990 and was promoted to National Director in 1995. In 1998,
she was named Senior national Director of R&B Promotion
for Columbia. Cynthia was recently named Radio & Records
Promotion Executive of the Year and received Billboard's nomination
for the record Label Promotion Team of The Year. She has been
awarded BRE's Executive of The Year, Gavin's Executive of
the Year, Midwest Radio & Music Association promotion
Manager of Year, Billboard's Regional Promotion Manager of
Year and also holds a Midwest Radio Music Association's Griot
Award. Cynthia holds a Bachelor of Business Administration
degree in marketing from the University of Notre Dame. Currently
managing the most dynamic promotion team in the business,
Cynthia Johnson-Harris is Sr. Vice President, Urban Promotion,
