Dionne Muhammad
President, Celebrity Personal Assistants, Inc.
Dionne Muhammad's new venture CPAI aims
to be the "center of gravity" for the Sports and
Entertainment industries. The agency has found a unique way
to seamlessly intertwine lifestyle management with image consulting,
marketing, public relations and business management and technology
services.
After spending 10 years in senior management
at software and engineering firms, she was seeking a change.
Dionne received a Bachelors degree from Auburn University,
a Masters in Technology from Concordia University and
an MBA from Brenau Women's College.
"Although I had a full time corporate
job, my passion has always been on the creative side. Throughout
my career in technology, I also freelanced as a journalist,
and worked as an independent Public Relations and marketing
specialist. While 'moonlighting' - I always found ways to
introduce the structure and management skills I obtained in
the corporate sector, with the creative projects that my clients
in entertainment were working on." Then one day she had
an epiphany - she would launch a professional services firm
that would embody her personality. "CPAI is simply the
brand that is a symbol for all of my skills and business savvy."
When she showed up for her regular hair
appointment with celebrity stylist Gail Hudson, she told her
of her new idea for the business venture. Ms. Hudson provided
her with a "sales lead" that led to the signing
of her "flagship client". Ms. Muhammad immediately
begin working as the new client's publicist and assistant
- - and subsequently announced the official launching of Celebrity
Personal Assistants, Inc., which is based in Atlanta.
