Busy
busy
always busy are words
that best describe Leslie "Big Lez" Segar, however,
words like smooth, sultry and sensual are even more descriptive
of Ms. Segar. Smooth because her movements are fluid and loose.
Sultry and sensual because her choreography holds the viewer's
attention. Big Lez's career has multiplied as sure and as
fast as her voluptuous body moves. In a recent interview she
was called "The Legs of Urban America." Lez says,
"I work so hard because I enjoy what I do." "I
am grateful for the opportunities because I know what I'm
doing now is preparing me for the next step."
Leslie "Big Lez" Segar isa native
of Queens, New York and a graduate of Springfield College
in Boston where she earned a degree in physiology and sports
medicine. Lez got her nickname from directors who used it
to describe her muscular, athletic physique and grand gymnastic
ability. Lez displayed moves typically performed by small-framed
persons, yet conquered by a dynamic sized woman. She was nominated
for a MTV Award for "Best Choreography in a Music Video"
for her work in Mary J. Bliges's "Real Love." She
can also be seen as a principal in video hits, "Remember
The Time" from Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston's "I'm
Every Woman," Bobby Brown's "Humpin' Around,"
and others. Even Oprah Winfrey has called on "Big Lez"
to teach her the hottest new moves.
Although her hectic work schedule leaves
her with little time for anything else, "Big Lez"
is not complaining. In fact she is very clear about the sacrifices
she's making for her career. "Life is too short to sit
back and wonder about what might have been," she says
.
"I am a big believer of getting things done
and
with my abilities, I know I can achieve everything I've set
out to accomplish."

woman who truly represents spirit, mind and body!
