Apryle Vaughn
Senior Account Executive, Middleberg Euro/New Media Entertainment
A 17-year veteran with a degree in radio,
television and film from Cal State, in Northridge, CA, Apryle
Vaughn recently took her career to a higher plane forging
into the world of New Media. Currently Senior Account Executive
at Middleberg Euro/New Media Entertainment Division, Apryle
is responsible for pitching and securing placement of online
and off-line entertainment and celebrity driven press items,
as well as features in various local and national syndicated
columns. She also secures placement in electronic media, print
and television for leading e-commerce and digital music companies.
Handling "big name" accounts like Tonos.com, the
Music Insiders Network, a company founded by Carol Bayer Sager,
Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds and David Foster; HBO,
GetMedia, MusicChoice, Click Radio and many more!
With a natural knack for music and talent,
Apryle dug into the entertainment business early into her
career. In 1990, she landed a position as Production Manager
for Classic Concepts Video Production in New York City. She
later moved to Los Angeles and assumed the position of Talent
Assistant at Columbia Pictures. She was heavily involved with
the motion picture "Poetic Justice" starring Janet
Jackson and served as an assistant to Giant Records recording
artist Miki Howard, managing all of the everyday activities
of Ms. Howard's personal life.
1993 found Apryle Vaughn in Atlanta, GA
with a new position as Talent Coordinator, responsible for
coordinating talent for Arnold Schwartzinegar and Evander
Holyfield's Inner City Games. That same year she secured a
position with the Marconi Group as an Administrative Assistant
and later moved to Saunders and Associates as an Associate
Manager.
With the music and entertainment industry
continuing to beckon her, 1994-1996 found Apryle at Jimmy
Jam and Terry Lewis' Perspective Records label as Southeast
Regional Promotion Manager. That stint let a similar position
with MCA Records' Southeast office also in Atlanta.
Having mastered the art of dealing with
change, Apryle Vaughn took on the constant changes of the
music industry and relocated to New York, this time at Dan
Klores and Associates as Senior Account Executive, responsible
for placement of entertainment and celebrity driven press
items and features in local and national columns.
Apryle manages her busy career, her home
and family. She says, "these things give me balance which
make for a better career. Achieving a balanced, harmonious
life while succeeding professionally is a constant challenge,
but well worth it."
