Avis Y. Jackson is a respected entertainment executive and the proud Director of NABFEME Atlanta — the local chapter of the National Association of Black Female Executives in Music & Entertainment. As a visionary leader, she champions the organization’s mission to empower women across all sectors of the entertainment and music industries through collaboration, advocacy, and access to opportunity. Avis is also the Founder and Owner of AYJ Entertainment LLC, a mobile and on-site professional management company offering services in event production, operations, catering, and security/logistics. Her company specializes in projects within the performing arts, government contracts, and music/film/television industries. Notably, AYJ Entertainment served as the management firm as a performing arts government contractor in 2022.
An avid supporter of NABFEME, her public service includes coordinating events for the City of Riverdale, GA, under its Cultural Affairs Department, where she deepened her knowledge in community engagement, cultural programming, and municipal event operations. As a result, she has cultivated meaningful partnerships with school systems, cultural organizations, veterans' groups, women’s empowerment collectives, and independent artists. A proud member of NABFEME, Avis is a former member of the International Live Events Association (ILEA) and the North American Performing Arts Managers and Agents (NAPAMA), professional organizations that contributed significantly to her growth and education in the field. Through these affiliations, she gained exposure to national standards, industry’s best practices, and a strong network of event professionals — all of which continue to inform her commitment to excellence in entertainment management. reflecting on her continued investment in industry standards and excellence. She is pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Sports, Entertainment, and Event Management from Johnson & Wales University — further equipping her to lead with intention and academic precision in the evolving entertainment industry.
Known for her strong strategic event logistics, creative programming, and her commitment to elevating Black women in leadership roles, Avis brings a collaborative spirit to NABFEME Atlanta. Under her leadership, the network actively welcomes partnerships with music, entertainment, and arts-based organizations that are aligned with purpose, equity, and innovation.p>
