The members of NABFEME are the most significant people in the organization. Each member has a unique story and career journey, and we believe those individual strengths can make a huge difference in our impact. We know that our strength and power is realized when we work together as a group. That’s why we organized the NABFEME Member Open House. It’s a time where members and team leaders can come together to discuss issues, activities, and organizational advancement. We’ll discuss what works and what doesn’t work… what makes you feel empowered and what makes you feel isolated! These meetings will be held bi-monthly on the first Saturday of the month. Information on how to join in will be posted on this site and our social media pages, plus all members will receive an email with updated info. We are looking forward to seeing you at the “Open House” and hearing your voice as you add your power to the conversation.
In 2023, NABFEME launched The Elephant in The Room Tour; a 10-city social responsibility initiative created to address critical issues affecting the Black community. By encouraging open conversations about topics that are often overlooked but need immediate attention, the tour opened in Philadelphia and closed in Los Angeles. Local leaders, government officials, and popular entertainers were the highlight of each stop. The Tour resumes in 2024 with a Call to Action purpose … CULTIVATING THE CULTURE. Mental Health, Social Injustice, Missing & Exploited Black Women, Domestic Violence, Gun Violence, Gender Equity, are just a few of the topics we’ll address. Confirmed stops include New York, Detroit, DC and Greensboro.
