ATTENTION ALL AUTHORS!! The NABFEME Bookshelf wants to feature your book! The NABFEME Bookshelf is a new online tool being introduced by NABFEME that will feature books written mostly by female authors! We’ll also feature books written by our members, our industry colleagues, books that we feel are compelling to our mission, and books that are of interest to women. Our featured titles will be easily accessible from our website and will provide an excellent marketing advantage to our authors. The NABFEME “SMART Women Meet Up” is a smart networking, meet & greet, professional socializing event held in various markets across the country with the NABFEME colloquium .

The Meet-Ups are power gatherings of ambitious, savvy, goal oriented women who meet and share ideas with other like minded women! The event creates an atomsphere for women to come together, learn about each other, discuss skill sets, exchange business and collaborate on ideas that encourage successful lifestyles and careers! Light fare is served and the admission is FREE !

The NABFEME Shero

The NABFEME SHERO is a woman of color whose achievements have opened doors and set new standards for the entertainment industry. The challenges and experiences of the Shero have built the foundation for the careers of today’s women in music and entertainment.

NABFEME SHEROES come in every imaginable shape, size and color… and they manifest their Sheroism in infinite ways. The strength and fortitude of our Shero foremothers in the entertainment industry paved the way for today’s executive divas and goddesses. The accomplishments of these women are quite stunning in light of the fact that there was, for whatever reason, an un-talked about system that always put men on top. Battling exclusion and seclusion, these incredible women risked it all to create the opportunities for the careers we hold today.

The National Association of Black Female Executives, Inc. (NABFEME) is honored to be associated with and to have profiled some of the most famous and successful women in music and entertainment. However, we also realize that there are thousands of other women across country that – while not in the entertainment industry – are making an impact in their own way, in their own communities. NABFEME established High Heels in High Places as a acknowledgment to all women of achievement.

High Heels in High Places represents strong, cutting-edge career women who through courage, resilience and wisdom have helped to redefine the positioning of women in the workplace and women in music and entertainment. These women have made significant career achievements with few role models or mentors… and sometimes with little social support. They are the NABFEME trailblazers; women who seized the moment, took advantage of emerging opportunities and helped create new standards, thus becoming prototypes for professional career growth. We have an opportunity to learn from their experiences and enable ourselves to develop stronger and more definitive careers.

High Heels in High Places not about showcasing super stars or well-known women. Rather it is about typical career women who represent untypical career advancement circumstances. You will be inspired, shocked, amused and amazed by their stories. And, by sharing their career journeys, NABFEME strives to honor these women for their ability, while allowing you to grow from their success and experiences.
